OMX Nordic Sector Indexes – PI, GI
The OMXNORDIC Sector indexes are based on the Global Industry Classification Standard (GICS) developed by Morgan Stanley Capital International Inc. (MSCI) and Standard & Poor's. GICS is an international classification created to meet investors' demands for more precise, exhaustive and standardized classification. The GICS sector classification is divided into four different levels, comprising sectors, industry groups, industries and sub-industries. The indexes cover all shares listed on the Nordic Exchanges. The indexes are calculated up to level two (Industry Group) in each GICS sector and available as PI and GI. The base date for the OMXNORDIC Sector indexes is December 30, 2002, with a base value of 100.
