A number of the small and medium-sized companies on NASDAQ OMX Nordic make a special effort to increase liquidity in their shares. They communicate more frequently and more directly with the financial market, the investors, the employees and other stakeholders about their activities and financial position.
Companies in the MidCap+ and SmallCap+ segments are elected twice a year in June and December and are characterised by: High liquidity ensures frequent and narrow quotes in the share. Investors may therefore more frequently trade a share with a small difference between the bid and ask prices. This reduces the investor’s total costs of trading shares.
Frequent information ensures that the investors are kept abreast of the company’s affairs. This reduces uncertainty and thereby the investors’ risk. Good investor relations ensure that shareholders are taken seriously and are serviced appropriately.
